Order Processing
We do out best to pack and and ship orders within 2–4 business days from our facility in Cortland, New York. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.
Shipping Method
We ship all orders via USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, with delivery typically within 2–5 business days depending on destination.
Shipping Rates
We offer free shipping on orders over $100. Orders below this threshold have the shipping fee calculated at checkout.
Shipping Locations
We currently ship within the continental United States only.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times after shipment via USPS Ground Advantage:
Northeast (NY, PA, New England): 2–3 business days
Midwest & Southeast: 3–5 business days
South Central & Mountain States: 3–5 business days
West Coast: 5–6 business days

Product Handling & Freshness
Our products are traditionally fermented and shelf-stable prior to opening. Orders are shipped without refrigeration. During warmer months, insulation or cold packs may be used at our discretion. Refrigeration is recommended upon opening.
Warm Weather Disclaimer
Exposure to elevated temperatures during transit may result in increased fermentation activity, including bubbling or leakage. This is a natural characteristic of fermented foods and does not indicate spoilage. We recommend promptly bringing packages indoors upon delivery.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@foodandferments.com and include photos of any damage. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.
Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
